Presenting Creations

As the students go into their final year at alive Guatemala, they are required to take business classes to give them the knowledge and skills they need to be leaders and find jobs in the future. Along with those classes, the students work on an entrepreneurship project throughout the year.

The 5th year High School students, the 4th year English students and the Pastry students presented the mid-year draft of their projects. The High School students and the pastry students each worked separately on the project and the English students translated the presentations.  The group efforts was important within the students and their translators.  All of the students worked very hard to present something they were proud of.

The judges looked at all of the projects and gave a score as well as wrote comments not the scoresheets about what improvements can be made. These things will help them in the future to grow and do even better the next time.

The next time they will present will be at the end of the school year. The hope is that each one of the students will work to make the improvements necessary to do better than the last time.

It is beautiful to see how the years at Love Guatemala have impacted the students. As they present their progress, it is a picture of all the work they have done, not just this year, but all of the years they have studied. It is definitely a proud moment to watch their accomplishments come together in one presentation and we look forward to witnessing it again at the end of the year.
