The Cooking School is such an integral part of Love Guatemala and its history. Cooking School was one of the first classes offered when Love Guatemala was founded and it has changed many lives over the years.

During the pandemic, the vocational schools were put on hold because it would have been too difficult to learn a hands on skill over video. After praying and planning, cooking school was reopened a couple years ago. It has been such a blessing to see new students find their passion for cooking and baking.

We recently had a survey done in Magdalena and the surrounding area. One of the results of the survey said that some people would like to be offered short courses. For example, if Love Guatemala offered a six month course just on cake decorating with students receiving a certificate at the end, a large number of people would be interested in that to further their employment opportunities. It is a fun potential to be praying about for a possibility to expand what can be offered to  the cooking school in the future!

We have seen how the Cooking School changes lives. It opens doors to jobs. It has made a way to starting new businesses. And most importantly, it encourages a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We are so proud of the cooking School and we can’t wait to see how God allows it to grow and transform in the future!
